Following the opening of a second Oxnard, Calif., store last week, Vallarta Supermarkets plans to open another new store Wednesday, April 9–in Hesperia. A ribbon-cutting ceremony will begin at 7:30 a.m., with the store opening for business at 8 a.m.

The store, located at 17390 Main St., is 42,000 s.f. and will provide the local community with low prices, many grocery choices and specialty departments—including a bakery, full-service meat counter, fresh produce, a hot food deli (Taqueria) with in-store dining, a shuttle service and a customer service department that offers check cashing, money transfers and utility bill payments, according to the grocer.

“We are excited to open another store in San Bernardino County,” said Tony Hernandez, director of marketing for Vallarta, which operates more than 40 stores in California. “Along with our Victorville location, the new Hesperia store will bring much needed economic activity to the region. Our new location is creating about 230 new jobs in Hesperia.”
