Johnsonville has rolled out its new Sausage & Gravy Stuffed Biscuits for grab-and-go food service venues. These hand-held sandwiches are ideal for breakfast and snacking, creating more menu opportunity for convenience stores, C&U, B&I, hotels, sports venues and anywhere snacks are sold, according to Wisconsin-based Johnsonville.
The new hand-held biscuits have a flaky buttermilk crust with Johnsonville sausage and just the right amount of gravy stuffed inside for that traditional feel-good combination, now available on-the-go, Johnsonville says. And, their dual appeal at breakfast and snack times offers an easy-to-eat and tasty option for those busy times of the day.
Individually packaged, Johnsonville’s biscuits are ready to heat from the refrigerator, taking 50 seconds in the microwave. For a more appealing offer, Johnsonville says it has branded warmers to make it even easier for the consumer to grab and go. The biscuit maintains its tender texture for up to four hours in the warmer. This equipment, as well as merchandising materials created to drive trial, are available through Johnsonville representatives.
Like all Johnsonville Sausage products, Sausage & Gravy Stuffed Biscuits are made with the operator’s convenience in mind, frozen for storage convenience and available 4-lbs. to a case, the company says.
