WinCo Foods will open as many as four stores in the Oklahoma City, Okla., area, according to local media. Commercial real estate firm Prince Edwards & Co. indicated in a midyear retail market survey that WinCo is interested in Oklahoma City, Moore and Midwest City locations, The Oklahoman reports.

WinCo Foods, an employee-owned company based in Idaho, moved into the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex this year. It opened its third store in Duncanville, Texas, in late June. That store is approximately 89,500 s.f. and employs 170 people.

The stores feature a clean look and offer hundreds of WinCo’s private label products in a line the company plans to continue to expand.

WinCo Foods describes itself as the “Supermarket Low Price Leader” in each market it serves.

Stores feature a “Wall of Values” at the entry that displays a wide variety of high-volume products with particularly good pricing. The main sales floor of each store encompasses large fresh produce, bulk foods, meat, deli, seafood and bakery service departments.

The stores’ bulk foods department features more than 700 items, including many natural food products, some organics, snacks, candies, cereals, flours, pastas, spices and more.

WinCo Foods was founded in 1967 in Boise, Idaho. It operates 95 stores and five distribution centers in Washington, Idaho, Nevada, California, Oregon, Arizona and Utah as well as Texas.
