Fleet Advantage, a leading innovator in truck fleet business analytics, equipment financing and lifecycle cost management, has named industry and IT veteran James C. Griffin Jr. its chief technology officer. Griffin will play an integral role in advancing Fleet Advantage’s overall IT strategy and will provide senior leadership and oversight of the company’s technology infrastructure, according to the Fort Lauderdale, Florida-based company.

Jim is a proven technologist with talents and experience relevant to both Fleet Advantage and our clients. Griffin holds patents for in-vehicle integrated information systems and in-vehicle information system software framework, and most recently was the founder and president of Execute IT Inc. Griffin previously served in EVP roles for Verifications Inc., XATA Corp. and NEXIQ Technologies, where he was responsible for the planning and execution of strategic truck technology initiatives.
A veteran of the U.S. Marines, Griffin has received awards and recognition from the American Trucking Association, Frost and Sullivan and the University of Iowa. He also serves as a guest speaker on a variety of technology-related topics at leading educational institutions. Griffin received his bachelor’s degree in electrical/computer engineering from the University of Iowa.
