The National Grocers Association (NGA) has hired Matthew Foley as its senior manager of government relations.

“Matt joins us with government and industry affairs experience and has a strong understanding of food policy and member relations,” said Greg Ferrara, NGA’s VP of public affairs. “NGA is pleased to strengthen our government relations team and further enhance our advocacy efforts with this new addition.”

Foley comes to NGA from the Grocery Manufacturers Association, where he held managerial positions in the organization’s industry affairs and federal affairs departments. He earned his undergraduate degree from the University of Redlands, California.

In his role as senior manager of government relations, Foley will help to bolster NGA’s outreach to federal regulators and policymakers as well as manage a portfolio of issues, including labor relations, data security and judiciary issues.
