Yummy.com, a leading multi-channel grocery retailer that has offered on-demand delivery since 2002, has launched a new mobile-friendly website to enhance the customer experience. In addition to becoming more intuitive and simpler, Yummy.com says the new site will reduce the time it takes to place an order.

“We already know that our service is much faster than a trip to the grocery store but, with the new site, we expect to help customers save even more time,” said Barnaby Montgomery, co-founder and CEO of Yummy.com. “During our usability testing, we found that the average time it took to place an order was about seven minutes, which is 35 percent faster than the old site.”

In addition, the new site features a responsive design optimized for mobile users on tablets and smartphones. Other enhancements include the option to select immediate delivery in about 30 minutes or to schedule an order at the customer’s convenience; enhanced search, sorting and images; a dedicated tab for on-sale items; and the estimated delivery time for an order featured on the home page.

In January, the company opened a new store in Los Angeles and plans to break ground on its sixth fulfillment location in Century City later this year. In addition, the company says it saw sales growth of 21 percent in 2014 as well as the completion of its two millionth order. By the end of 2015, Yummy.com expects to fulfill in excess of 30,000 online orders each month.
