Matt O’Hare has been promoted to SVP of corporate development at JOH in Billerica, Massachusetts. His new primary responsibilities include JOH corporate business development with an emphasis on building new business, mergers and acquisitions, and information systems and technology.

“This well-deserved promotion reflects Matt’s increasing role at JOH,” said Chip O’Hare, JOH CEO and chairman. “In his various roles, Matt has developed a wealth of knowledge and a holistic view of the business. He cares deeply for people and about doing the right things. We’re very proud of him.”

Prior to starting his career at JOH, O’Hare focused on sales operations and strategy as an account manager in the consumer goods industry on the West Coast. He returned to Billerica and joined JOH as an account executive in 2011. He was promoted to frozen and dairy director in 2013. O’Hare currently is a board member of FRANE (Frozen and Refrigerated Association of the Northeast) and on the National Frozen & Refrigerated Foods Association (NFRA) Frozen Promotions Committee.

O’Hare is the son of Chip and Bobbie O’Hare and grandson of the late Harry O’Hare Sr., who founded JOH in 1956. He has a bachelor’s degree from Harvard and an MBA from Stanford Business School.
