The Alabama Grocers Association held its 23rd Annual Spring Golf Outing earlier this month at Inverness Country Club in Birmingham. The tournament included two flights and raised a spring record for the Alabama Grocers Education Foundation (AGEF), which funds scholarships to employees and children of employees of Alabama Grocers Association companies. To date, AGEF has awarded more than $950,000 because of the support of Alabama Grocers Association members at golf tournaments.

The winners of this year’s golf tournament were:

• Morning first place team: Bill Keller, Orchid Paper; Jim Ward, D&T Sales; Steve Barnette, Mario Camacho; and Taylor Cox, Flowers Baking Co.

• Morning second place team: Hugh Hogue, Craig Dellinger and Steve Fulmer, Acosta Sales & Marketing; and Bill Borrow, Mitchell Grocery.
