Native Sun Natural Foods Market, a leading organic grocery retailer in North Florida, is planning a new store at the corner of 3rd Street and 15th Avenue North in Jacksonville Beach. It is slated to open in mid- to late August. The grocer says it has chosen Auld & White as the project’s general contractor.
The new store will introduce Native Sun shoppers to a fresh new store design, which will feature an intuitive store layout, mural artwork, living signage and other flourishes that will create a unique shopping experience, according to the grocer. In addition, expanded indoor and outdoor seating will give shoppers more room to enjoy the store’s breakfast, lunch and dinner options.
According to Aaron Gottlieb, owner of Native Sun, “Hiring Auld & White gives clarity to this project’s timeline and puts us one step closer to bringing the Native Sun natural and organic product shopping experience to Jacksonville Beach. Our goal is to give customers easy access to the products that they want the most. The new design puts significant emphasis on the in-store experience.”
That experience will include updates to Native Sun’s food service and product selection. In the deli, a new format will emphasize customer convenience and satisfaction with fresh grab-and-go offerings and shortened wait times. The new store design also will include its own full-service kitchen, enabling Native Sun to place emphasis on versatile hot meals that are ideal for quick lunches and dinners.
Native Sun says its product selection will be a healthy mix of affordable options. Grass-fed meats, sustainable seafood, premium health and beauty care and local products will round out the assortment.
Native Sun, based in Jacksonville, currently operates two stores—one at 10000 San Jose Boulevard and another at 11030 Baymeadows Road.
