IGA has rolled out IGA Better Choices, a new health and wellness program designed to provide IGA shoppers with information to make informed and balanced decisions about their health and wellness needs and IGA retailers with insights into topics. The Better Choices program, which includes informational components for both IGA shoppers and IGA retailers, is being developed in conjunction with IGA Health & Wellness Advisor and Registered Dietitian Kim Kirchherr. Kraft Foods Group shareholders have voted to approve the previously announced merger agreement providing for the creation of The Kraft Heinz Co. The transaction will create the third-largest food and beverage company in North America and the fifth-largest food and beverage company in the world. The merger was announced March 25 and received regulatory approvals in the U.S. and Canada.
