Last updated on June 13th, 2024 at 11:48 am

The United Family has expanded its pharmacy services with the launch of “Pet Meds” at 57 pharmacy locations in West Texas, North Texas and New Mexico. The program allows shoppers to fill prescriptions for their four-legged family members in-store and online.

“Our guests rely on our pharmacies to fill their prescription needs, and we are thrilled to now be a one-stop-shop for guests’ pets as well,” said Tim Purser, director of pharmacy for The United Family.

The United Family said its pharmacies will offer competitive prices on common pet prescriptions, including Advantage, Heartgard, Revolution and more. Shoppers can pick up their pet medications in-store with their own prescriptions, or have them shipped to their home with standard shipping of three to five days. All that is needed is a veterinarian prescription.

Pet Meds is now available at each store banner of The United Family, including United Supermarkets, Market Street, Amigos and Albertsons Market. For a full list of medications offered or more information about Pet Meds, visit unitedsupermarkets.com/petmeds.

The United Family is a Lubbock, Texas-based, self-distributing company with stores in 36 communities in West Texas, Dallas-Fort Worth and New Mexico. The United Family currently operates 66 stores. It is a wholly owned subsidiary of Albertsons LLC.
