A new Walmart Neighborhood Market opened Wednesday in Wellington, Florida. The approximately 45,000-s.f. store is located at 4105 State Road 7, is open from 7 a.m.-11 p.m. every day and creates up to 95 full- and part-time jobs.
The Wellington store offers an assortment of merchandise, including fresh produce and meats, frozen foods, groceries and a pharmacy. Customers can shop additional items such as toys, electronics and home decor at Walmart.com through Walmart pickup, which will offer free shipping to the Wellington Walmart Neighborhood Market.
“Our new, convenient store format will give Wellington residents an affordable option for fresh produce and meat, groceries and a pharmacy,” said store manager Stephanie Keister, who began her Walmart career in 2000 as a cashier.
In addition to a full line of groceries and a pharmacy, the new store features a bakery, self-serve deli, prepared meal options, organic/natural selections, health and beauty aids, pet and cleaning products, as well as hardware and stationery.
The grand opening celebration Wednesday included presentations of $6,000 in grants from Walmart and the Walmart Foundation to local community groups, including Big Hearts 4 Paws Rescue, Panther Run Elementary School, Polo Park Middle School and Village Baptist Church.
