Chipotle Suit Contests GMO Claim, And More…

A California law firm has filed a lawsuit charging Chipotle Mexican Grill with misleading claims by saying its menu is free of genetically modified organisms, or GMOs. Chipotle plans to contest the federal class-action suit brought by Kaplan Fox & Kilsheimer LLP of San Francisco. In other Chipotle news, through a new partnership with Tapingo, a mobile commerce app, Chipotle items will be available for delivery through Tapingo at 40 college campuses nationwide this fall and at more than 100 campuses by spring 2016…

The Council of Hotel and Restaurant Trainers will host a forum from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 9 at the Woburn Mall, Woburn, Massachusetts. The Rhode Island Hospitality Association (RIHA) and United Healthcare are working together to offer industry-specific healthcare solutions to RIHA members.
