Flowers Foods Makes Leadership Changes

Flowers Foods, based in Thomasville, Georgia, has made several leadership changes.

Randy Brock has been named SVP for Flowers Bakeries’ central region. Brock most recently was president of Flowers Baking Co. of Villa Rica, Georgia.

“Randy has a wealth of bakery experience and superior leadership skills,” said Keith Wheeler, president of Flowers Bakeries. “I know he will do an outstanding job for our central region team.”

Brock joined Flowers in 1982 as a route sales person in Thomasville, Ga. and has held a number of sales management and executive positions with the company.

Duane Pope has been named president of Flowers Baking Co. of Villa Rica, a subsidiary of Flowers Foods. Pope most recently was VP of sales for Flowers Baking Co. of Bradenton, Florida.

“Duane has both the knowledge and experience to successfully lead our Villa Rica team,” said Wheeler. “I know he will do an outstanding job.”

Pope joined the company in 1990 as a route salesperson in Ft. Pierce, Florida, and has held a number of sales management positions with Flowers.

Willie Prince has been appointed president of Flowers Baking Co. of Miami, a subsidiary of Flowers Foods, effective Jan. 1.

Prince began his career with Flowers in 1983 in Tyler, Texas. He worked as a route salesperson, district manager, director of sales and was the VP of sales in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. Since 2006, Prince has been VP of sales at Flowers Baking Co. of Miami.

“Willie brings a wealth of knowledge, experience, and success to the job,” said David C. Scott, SVP for Flowers Bakeries. “I fully expect he will continue to build on that foundation in his new role.”

John DeLeu, current bakery president, will retire this month after 35 years of service with the company. DeLeu joined Flowers’ Miami bakery in 1980, and served in a number of sales positions, including district manager, thrift store sales manager, general sales manager, VP and EVP of sales. DeLeu has been the president of the Miami bakery since 2004.

“John was instrumental in building a very successful market and team during a time of unprecedented growth in the Miami area,” added Scott. “Our company is truly grateful for his many contributions, leadership, knowledge and, most of all, friendship.”
