Boston city health officials cleared Chipotle Mexican Grille’s Cleveland Circler location to open Dec. 28 after a water leak delayed plans to reopen earlier. The location had been shut down since Dec. 7 after a norovirus outbreak infected more than 140 people, mostly college students from nearby Boston College. The city reinstated the restaurant’s license after Chipotle staff were cleared of the virus and the location was thoroughly cleaned…

The newly renamed Northeast chapter of Foodservice Consultants Society International recently donated $15,000 to the Massachusetts nonprofit Community Servings. Held at Davio’s in downtown Boston, a sold-out event for the cause was attended by more than 100 industry colleagues and guests from the New England area and abroad. Community Servings is a food and nutrition program that provides services throughout Massachusetts to people and families who are living with critical and chronic illnesses.
