The National Association of Convenience Stores (NACS) will launch a weekly podcast exploring convenience store industry issues. Called “Convenience Matters,” the podcast will feature a NACS representative who will explore an issue and welcome guests to talk about subjects relevant to the convenience store industry. The podcasts will be available through the app, “Through the Noise,” as well as on iTunes and NACS Online…

Rutter’s will host a grand opening of its 62nd store on Jan. 29 in Leola, Pennsylvania. The 7,500-s.f., 24-hour location has 16 pumps for gas and auto diesel, as well as a separate dedicated island with three high-speed truck diesel fueling pumps. A unique component to the Leola location is eight spaces dedicated for horse and buggy parking; this will be the second store to offer this feature to customers. Inside, the store emphasizes a spacious 35-person seating area along with free Wi-Fi for all Rutter’s customers. The coolers will showcase premium Rutter’s milk from locally sourced dairies and more than 10 different Rutter’s tea options. In the foodservice area, Rutter’s full menu is available day and night. Options such as pastrami, barbecue short ribs and fresh food options like fruit and salads will be offered along with a gourmet coffee bar featuring espressos, lattes and fruit smoothies…

United States Beverage and Moosehead Breweries Ltd. will introduce a new style into the U.S. market this spring—Moosehead Radler, which was first introduced in Saint John in New Brunswick, Canada, in 2014 and successfully expanded to other Canadian markets. Moosehead Radler is unique in that it’s a combination of three juices: grapefruit, grape and lemon. Moosehead Radler will be distributed nationally in liquor and grocery stores as well as bars. It will be available in cans only. Moosehead Radler will launch in March and be available year-round. It is imported by United States Beverage of Stamford, Connecticut.
