Groupon has unveiled its annual Best of Groupon collection, which celebrates local businesses across the country for outstanding service and the popularity of their Groupon campaigns. In recognition of this distinction, Groupon analyzed customer satisfaction ratings to determine which places had the friendliest local businesses in the nation.
“Our annual Best of Groupon collection highlights merchants across the nation that have delivered unbeatable service to customers and we’re proud to showcase these great locally owned businesses in our marketplace,” said Aaron Cooper, SVP at Groupon.
The top 10 cities with the friendliest local businesses—meaning the highest percentage of merchants with a 90 percent satisfaction rating or higher from Groupon customers—are:

More than 90 percent of Groupon merchants in the U.S. have 20 or fewer employees, and more than 30 percent are the sole proprietor. Best of Groupon merchants span a wide range of geographies and industries, including health and beauty, food and drink, travel and activities-based businesses.
