The Rhode Island Legislature is reviewing a trucker’s toll of a maximum $20 to cross the state in any one direction from Massachusetts to Connecticut. As part of a continuing objective to support U.S. troops, and in accordance with the company’s yearlong 80th anniversary celebration, Big Y Foods is partnering with the United Service Organizations (USO) to collect and send Valentines to servicemen and women overseas and at local bases. As of Jan. 30, Big Y has already collected 2,500 completed Valentines from all ages; even a 1-year-old scribbled a greeting.
