Walmart Expanding Grocery Pickup To Eight New Markets, And More…

Walmart is broadening its grocery pickup option to eight additional markets, expanding beyond its current 20 sites, with plans to add more locations throughout the year. Free grocery pickup will be offered in Kansas City; Boise, Idaho; Richmond and Virginia Beach, Virginia; Austin, Texas; Provo, Utah; Daphne, Alabama; and Charleston, South Carolina. Walmart also plans to double the number of store pickup locations in Dallas, Houston and Atlanta. Walmart says 90 percent of its customers using the service are repeat users, and more than 90 percent of online baskets include fresh grocery items (dairy, produce or meat)…

Whole Foods Market is recalling 10-oz. packages of Asparagus, Pea and Ricotta salad because it was mislabeled and actually contained miniature Asparagus, Sun Dried Tomato and Swiss Frittatas. Due to the labeling error, an egg allergen was undeclared. The product was produced at the Whole Foods Market North Atlantic Kitchen in Everett, Massachusetts. The recalled product (UPC Code 0 36406 30344 5) contains frittatas and has a “sell by” date of April 14, 2016, and was sold on Sunday, April 10, 2016, at 14 Whole Foods Market locations in Connecticut, New Jersey, New York, Rhode Island and Massachusetts…

Goya Foods recently paid tribute to the 65th Infantry Regiment, the Borinqueneers, a Puerto Rican regiment that served the U.S. during World War I, World War II and the Korean War. Goya director Rafael Toro and company attorney Carlos Ortiz presented Delfin Diaz Mandez, a 94-year-old Borinqueneer, with a replica of the Congressional Gold Medal of Honor at the Capitol in Washington, D.C.
