Shaw’s and Star Market stores will work with local food banks across the New England region to implement Fresh Rescue, a food donation program in conjunction with Feeding America. Shaw’s and Star Market stores will donate products most needed by food banks, including meat. Shaw’s and Star Market stores in Massachusetts and Maine will be the first stores in the division to begin the rollout of Fresh Rescue. The rollout will extend to Rhode Island, New Hampshire and Vermont pending a successful rollout in the first two states. “We are proud to partner with Feeding America on our rollout of the Fresh Rescue program. Their expertise, dedication and passion to helping end hunger will help us ensure a successful program. Beginning Friday, June 10, Stop & Shop customers have the opportunity to help support pediatric cancer research at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center (MSK) by purchasing a book of discount coupons at checkout.
