The National Association of Convenience Stores (NACS) has updated the “How Convenience Stores Work and Their Contributions to Communities” toolkit. On Aug. 1, Cumberland Farms launched its fifth annual Cups for Kids campaign, a month-long fundraiser that benefits pediatric care programs at five children’s hospitals throughout the Northeast. Throughout the month, five cents from every iced coffee or Chill Zone beverages, including Hyperfreeze beverages purchased at specified retail locations, will go directly to participating hospitals. The five hospitals are: Floating Hospital for Children at Tufts Medical Center, Children’s Hospital at Dartmouth-Hitchcock, Bernard & Millie Duker Children’s Hospital at Albany Medical Center, Connecticut Children’s Medical Center and Barbara Bush Hospital at Maine Medical Center…

Cloudride of Branchburg, New Jersey, is bringing the first vape juice flavors to market. The flavors were created by Jason Stevens, who won the America’s Classic James Beard Award in 2011 for his work as executive chef of Watts Tea Shop in Milwaukee. “Being a longtime smoker and chef, I was instantly intrigued at the possibilities provided by e-liquids,” said Stevens. “I’ve always loved experimenting with different flavors and tastes, and I immediately gravitated towards making my own vape juice when I decided to switch from cigarettes to using a vaporizer. The juices are available in 18 flavors.
