The Buehler’s Medina River Styx store in Medina, Ohio, marked the official opening of the Medina Liquor Agency, inside of the supermarket, on Monday. This completes the transfer and relocation agreement with the Wine Reserve to purchase the Medina Liquor Agency.
Dan Shanahan, president and COO of Buehler’s Fresh Foods, said, “With the highly successful opening of our Ashland, Wooster, Coshocton and New Philadelphia state liquor agencies, this move continues the establishment of Ohio liquor agencies inside Buehler’s supermarket locations.”
Ron James, Buehler’s director of beer, wine and liquor, added, “We are proud to offer our customers the convenience of one-stop shopping, and have strived to respect customers’ considerations by keeping this a ‘store within a store.’”
Buehler’s Medina River Styx has expanded beer and wine offerings, with more than 1,000 beers and 3,500 wines available daily, as well as a broad selection of premium spirits. There is a 10 percent discount on wine case purchases, and liquor agency customers can now use their credit or debit cards.
“We would like to thank the Wine Reserve and the Ohio Division of Liquor Control for their assistance to complete the transfer and relocation of the liquor agency. We would also like to extend a special thank you to the community for their patience during the process,” said store manager Jack Rohrbaugh.
Buehler’s Fresh Foods has 13 supermarkets in Ohio.
