Rutter’s Farm Stores has launched beer sales at its first three locations—in Mercersburg, Newberrytown and Hamburg, Pennsylvania. It is the first convenience store business in the state’s Franklin, York and Berks counties to start selling beer. Rutter’s also will bring beer to the first Lancaster County location with its Leola store in a few weeks.

Rutter’s is selling a cold selection of craft, domestic and imported beers and ciders available in singles, 6- and 12-packs. The restaurant area with a Beer Cave has seating for at least 30 customers. Rutter’s customers will be able to purchase beer from 7 a.m.-2 a.m. Monday-Saturday and 9 a.m.-2 a.m. Sunday, in accordance with new state law.

“Rutter’s is committed to responsible retailing, and delivering quality convenience to communities we serve. We are excited that we will be able to offer the convenience of beer purchases to complement our extensive restaurant food in our stores,” said Derek Gaskins, chief customer officer.
