Piggly Wiggly Alabama Distributing Co. (PWADC) has selected Ithaca, New York-based Rosie Applications to implement online shopping at its more than 270 retail locations across the Southeast.
Given the growth in consumer demand for online shopping services, PWADC says it wanted a partner that would exceed customer expectations and help their stores grow revenue in the process.
“We visited retailers using Rosie and have been continually impressed by their reputation for providing outstanding service and support to both the store and the online customer,” said David Bullard, PWADC president and CEO. “Rosie’s commitment to helping grocers succeed by growing both top- and bottom-line results, not just selling them software, made us confident they are the right choice for our members.”
Rosie creates a digital storefront for each retailer, enabling local shoppers to shop online via web or mobile phones for click-and-collect or delivery. Retailers can customize the program with special offers and discounts, local branding, messaging to shoppers and more.
“At Rosie, it’s not enough to simply help grocers get online,” said Nick Nickitas, Rosie CEO. “Our mission is to help them succeed in serving their shoppers in this rapidly evolving online marketplace. Our programs always include tools retailers can’t get anywhere else, including dedicated customer support staff, automated marketing, P&L tools and more.”
PWADC has stores in six states across the Southeast, including Alabama, Mississippi, Georgia, Tennessee, Louisiana and Florida.
