In its centennial year, MIWE Michael Wenz GmbH has expanded its international presence by opening a new subsidiary in Dubai, United Arab Emirates (UAE).
The ninth subsidiary of the German bakery systems manufacturer, based in the Dubai Silicon Oasis free-trade zone, started operations on March 31. It will serve the UAE alongside other countries in the Gulf Cooperation Council, including Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Oman, Qatar and Bahrain, as well as sub-Saharan Africa and Pakistan.
The aim of the new MIWE Middle East FZE branch is to deepen existing business relationships, strengthen and promote the MIWE brand in the region, as well as support established local distribution and service partners. A dedicated showroom allows the company to offer training in products and application technology as well as provide a forum for knowledge transfer. General Manager Wilhelm Tittes is head of the local coordination and organization at the subsidiary. He is supported by experienced service technicians and experts in the region, by the Regional Sales Manager Middle East at MIWE Michael Wenz GmbH Sylvain Degens and by the sales support team.
MIWE was founded in 1919 by Michael Wenz in the Franconian city of Arnstein and produces baking technology for the global market at two locations in Germany. For exactly 100 years, MIWE has been helping customers achieve better baked goods and better business with innovative products, technological know-how and advice. The company is known worldwide for its experience in the area of climate-controlled process stages of baking (baking, refrigerating, proofing, freezing), automation technology, implementation of energy-efficient bakeries and plant construction.
MIWE has subsidiaries located in the U.S., Canada, Russia, Austria, France, Italy, Singapore, Switzerland and UAE as well as 50 representative offices. MIWE America LLC is located in Hillsborough, New Jersey.
