Big Gay Ice Cream is now available on the west coast, celebrating the expansion with three new flavors.
Big Gay Ice Cream pints will be available in stores in cities such as Los Angeles, San Diego, Fresno and San Francisco.
“We are so excited that Big Gay Ice Cream has arrived on the West Coast,” said Doug Quint, Big Gay Ice Cream founder. “We started in 2009 with a single truck on a street corner in Union Square, New York City, and never in our wildest dreams thought our ice cream would spread from coast to coast! Our goal has always been to have a blast with awesome ice cream, and with the new territory joining our party we’ll all be having more fun than ever.”
Along with the retail expansion, Big Gay Ice Cream also launched three new flavors: Banan-o-Graham, Fluffernutter and Spicy Choco-Lit. Banan-o-Graham is made with caramelized banana ice cream with graham swirls and graham crunch, Fluffernutter is peanut butter ice cream with marshmallow swirls, micro mallows and peanut praline, and
Spicy Choco-Lit is milk chocolate ice cream with spicy fudge swirls and hot cinnamon candy pieces.
The new flavors join the company’s existing portfolio of six flavors, including cult classic, American Globs – a blend of fudge-covered salted pretzel balls, fudge-covered pretzel pieces, and fudge swirl blended into malted sweet cream ice cream. Another favorite, Dorothy, mixes together vanilla ice cream with vanilla wafer cookies and swirls of dulce de leche.
The pints will be available at select local retailers including Vons, Albertsons, Pavilions, Circle K, Safeway, Lucky’s and Save Mart. Big Gay Ice Cream also is available online via Instacart and Amazon Fresh. The MSRP on Big Gay Ice Cream pints is $5.99.
Big Gay Ice Cream is based in Philadelphia and has retail shops there and in New York City.
