Southeastern Grocers‘ 16 first-place wins at the 2019 National Pie Championship doubles its 2018 awards and is a new company record.
The American Pie Council hosted the 2019 National Pie Championship in Orlando, Florida, last week. The following Southeastern Grocers pies placed first in their respective categories:

Jacksonville, Florida-based Southeastern Grocers received two first-place awards for its savory pies. The award-winning six-inch chicken pot pie and pizza pot pie can be purchased in store deli departments.

The American Pie Council is the leading authority of pies. Each year, a panel of judges at the American Pie Council evaluates various types of pies and recognizes the best in each category with ribbons. This is the 10th consecutive year Southeastern Grocers has participated and received recognition for excellence by the council.
Several Southeastern Grocers pastries repeated as top pie in their respective categories, including 8-inch apple caramel drizzle, 8-inch cherry and 10-inch cream cheese topped pumpkin pie, among others.
All 2019 award-winning pie varieties are available for purchase at select Bi-Lo, Fresco y Más, Harveys and Winn-Dixie locations. In celebration of the 16 first-place awards, 8-inch apple caramel drizzle and 8-inch fresh baked apple pies are buy one, get one free through April 23.
