Spot Coffee, an international coffee chain headquartered in Buffalo, New York, has signed a franchise agreement with Tops Friendly Markets to develop a second Spot Express in Tops Supermarket #239, at 1740 Sheridan Drive in Buffalo.

Tops announced June 28 that it signed a franchise agreement with the supermarket to develop a first Spot Express in the newly renovated supermarket located at 3980 Maple Road in Amherst, New York. The first Spot Express, which already is under development by Tops, will be replacing Tim Hortons.

“We are very proud to be chosen by Tops to be part of their multi-million-dollar in-store upgrades and improvement program which includes extensive interior remodels and updated exterior facades, landscaping and parking lots. We are equally excited with this tremendous opportunity of developing a multi-franchise strategic alliance with Tops knowing very well that we are both equally and ardently committed to provide our customers the highest quality services and enduring experiences in our related industries of shopping and hospitality,” said Dan Hensley, COO.

Spot Coffee designs, builds, operates and franchises community-oriented cafés and Express cafés in the northeastern U.S. Spot’s community cafés provide its customers with signature made-to-order meals and micro-roasted coffee. Each Spot café is designed to suit its local neighborhood, creating a gathering place for the community. Spot’s commercial business focuses on the sale of roasted coffee beans to foodservice and grocery chains, business offices and resellers such as universities and hospitals.
