FMI – The Food Industry Association headquartered in Arlington,Virginia, has released its latest U.S. Grocery Shopper Trends COVID-19 Tracker research, which looks at consumers’ plans for the holiday season, sports viewing and the ongoing impact of COVID-19 on grocery shopping habits.

To assess the impact of COVID-19 on the perceptions and behaviors of grocery shoppers, FMI and The Harman Group are actively surveying shoppers about their changing shopping habits and publishing an ongoing series of reports. This ninth wave of research focuses on the upcoming holiday season, plans for sports viewing and household’s changing grocery shopping habits due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

The research helps the food industry identify how the COVID-19 pandemic is changing grocery shopping habits to inform business strategy and better meet consumer needs.

The latest report, along with previous COVID-19 trackers and the 2020 U.S. Grocery Shopper Trends report are available at here.

As the food industry association, FMI works with and on behalf of the entire industry to advance a safer, healthier and more efficient consumer food supply chain. FMI brings together a wide range of members across the value chain – from retailers that sell to consumers, to producers that supply food and other products, as well as the wide variety of companies providing critical services – to amplify the collective work of the industry.
