Former Grocers Association Executive Joyce Shaul Dies At 82

Joyce Barlow Shaul of St. Louis, Missouri, died Nov. 27, at 82. She was an executive director of the Mid America Grocers Association.

Her son, Dan Shaul, is executive director of the Missouri Grocers Association.

Mrs. Shaul was a frequent volunteer at Stages St. Louis in Kirkwood, Missouri, and a huge St. Louis Cardinals and Blues fan who always enjoyed watching games with her family.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Clarence “Smiley” Shaul.

Survivors include her children, Dawn Walker and Dan (Kim) Shaul; grandchildren, William Walker, Grace Walker and Matthew Shaul, Emily Shaul and Sarah Shaul; brother, Bill (Helen) Barlow; aunt, great-aunt and many friends.

Visitation is scheduled from 4-8 p.m. on Dec. 3 and 9-10 a.m. on Dec. 4 at Hoffmeister Colonial Mortuary, The funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Dec. 4 in Hoffmeister’s Chapel. Burial will follow at St. Paul Churchyard.
