Spindrift Spiked Wins Best Hard Seltzer At Beverage Digest Awards 2021

Newton, Massachusetts-based Spindrift has won best Hard Seltzer at the Beverage Digest Awards 2021. The company’s newest beverage alcohol innovation, Spindrift Spiked, was the award-winning drink. 

Spindrift Spiked is a lightly carbonated hard sparkling water made with only real ingredients, alcohol from sugar cane and no synthetic natural flavors, sweeteners or additives. 

Spindrift Spiked is available in a 12-pack variety with four flavors: Pineapple, Mango, Lime and Half & Half. 

The Beverage Digest Awards is a yearly competition hosted by Beverage Digest, a privately-owned subscription publication that covers the global beverage industry, celebrating excellence across the North American Beverage Industry with a panel of industry experts. 

Spindrift Spiked Half & Half won Best Hard Seltzer with the Lime, Pineapple and Mango flavors coming in as runners up in the category. 

Spindrift’s “If You Know You Know” marketing campaign for the launch of Spindrift Spiked was also a runner up for Best Marketing/Social Media Campaign.

“This is the second top award Spindrift Spiked Half & Half has won since our March 2021 launch. We believe this success is fueled by Spindrift Spiked’s delicious taste that only real ingredients can deliver and, specifically, Half & Half’s unique tasting profile from real squeezed lemon and brewed black tea,” said Bill Creelman, founder and CEO. 

“We’re continuing to develop new flavors as we see Spindrift Spiked emerging as a unique offering in an explosive hard seltzer category,” Creelman said. “With the success of the initial launch, Spiked will look to expand to additional markets in 2022.”

Spindrift is the first sparkling water made with real, squeezed fruit. Founded in 2010, all Spindrift products are free of added sweeteners or natural flavors, and only consist of water, bubbles and real squeezed fruit. Spindrift works with family farms to source the best fruit to make its juices and purees.
