Projects were focused on four locations:

  • The Olathe, Kansas Hen House Market at 13600 S. Blackbob Road celebrated a grand re-opening in April. The remodel features a drive-thru pharmacy as well as updated floral, meat, produce, deli, bakery, grocery and guest services departments.
  • Ball’s Price Chopper at 5665 Bannister Road in Kansas City, Missouri celebrated a grand opening for its newly constructed store on July 28. The new location is approximately 50,000 square feet and replaces an older Price Chopper location which was one mile east of the new store.
  • Ball’s Price Chopper located at 2107 S 4th St. in Leavenworth, Kansas celebrated its newly remodeled store with a grand reopening on Sept. 15. The new location is approximately 50,000 square feet and offers substantial upgrades and expansions in nearly every department.
  • Ball’s Price Chopper at 8430 Wornall Road in Kansas City, Missouri celebrated a grand re-opening on Dec. 8. The 37,000-square-feet, newly remodeled store is a significant upgrade from the original and includes expanded grocery offerings and services for the community.

Each of these projects supports Balls Food Stores’ commitment to a cleaner environment. The projects feature the use of high efficiency refrigeration and LED lighting. A conscientious recycling program and zero waste policy for excess food are part of Balls Food Stores’ century old mission to support health, wellness, family and community.
