Bashas’ Celebrates Store Grand Reopening In Kingman, AZ

Bashas

Bashas’ celebrated the grand reopening of its remodeled and remerchandised supermarket on March 2 at 3360 E. Andy Devine Ave. in Kingman, Arizona.

The Kingman store originally opened on Oct. 15, 1980. Kingman is known as the Heart of Historic Route 66 because the longest remaining preserved stretch of the famous all-American road runs through downtown.

Bashas’ distributed 200 free bags of groceries to shoppers on March 2 as part of the celebration. A ribbon cutting ceremony took place at the store’s front entrance with Bashas’ executives, store management team members and city leaders. Bashas’ also served free slices of celebratory cake in its bakery department and held various food and beverage demonstrations throughout the store.

However, the celebration will continue on March 5 when Bashas’ will distribute an additional 200 free bags of groceries to customers, while supplies last.

On March 12, the store will also offer shoppers free in-store sampling and product demonstrations.

The newly-remodeled store will have a variety of offerings, including:

  • New front entrance doors, public restrooms and grocery carts;
  • Six brand-new self-checkout stations at the front end of the store;
  • An expanded Starbucks, with a large seating area, which will serve hot breakfast sandwiches for customers;
  • A specialty grab-and-go sandwich case, expanded specialty cheese section and an expanded soup station;
  • Piping hot, made-to-order fresh pizzas in the deli;
  • A new seating area in the bakery with new tables and chairs where customers can have a coffee and enjoy made-from-scratch donuts from the new self-serve donut case;
  • A larger bakery item selection, with a new frozen cake case;
  • More farm-fresh options than before in an expanded produce department, with a new bulk foods section, an expanded salad section and spice wall;
  • A wider selection of fresh fish and seafood;
  • A newly added floral department; and
  • A wider selection of wine, spirits and beer.

In addition to getting a look at the newly remodeled store, nearby residents can also opt to order their Bashas’ groceries online for curbside pickup or at-home delivery.
