Sprouts Farmers Market will open its new store Nov. 11 at 9702 State Highway 151 in San Antonio, Texas. A ribbon cutting will take place the morning of Nov. 11 at 6:45 a.m. with Dr. Rocha-Garcia, councilwoman. The doors to the store will open at 7 a.m.
Sprouts’ grand opening weekend events
From Nov. 11-13, Sprouts customers who text “SANTX” to 777-688 will receive 20 percent off their purchase when they scan their account barcode at checkout. Through the app, shoppers can view the weekly ad and save more than $100 with digital coupons on grocery staples and new items every month.
Grand opening celebrations will take place throughout the weekend. Customers can enjoy live music, kids’ games and chances to win prizes and samples. On Nov. 11, coffee from Fara Coffee will be given out and a smoothie bar will offer shoppers free samples from 7 a.m until noon.
The first 250 shoppers on Nov. 11-12 will receive a reusable bag filled with product samples from featured brands. People will also have the opportunity to create their own trail mix and receive a gift with purchase on Nov. 12. An in-store scavenger hunt and Sundae Funday ice cream social with Cosmic Bliss will take place Nov. 13 from noon until 5 p.m.
The San Antonio Sprouts’ store will offer locally produced products including fresh fruits and vegetables from Chip Berry Produce, South Tex Organics and True Harvest Farms. Consumers can look for the blue tag that identifies that the product is local.

Through Sprouts’ Food Rescue program, the store will donate groceries that are no longer fit for sale but remain edible to the Rancho Cordova Food Locker.
