Sprouts Farmers Market will open a new store Nov. 18 in the Hillside Village at 6465 E. Mockingbird Lane, Suite 322 in Dallas, Texas.

“In Dallas, we are building stronger, healthier and more vibrant neighborhoods,” said Eric Johnson, Dallas mayor. “Grocers such as Sprouts – which provide meal options and access to fresh, healthy food – can play a vital role in these efforts in all our communities. That is why we are thrilled to welcome Sprouts to the Hillside Village Shopping Center to serve our Northeast Dallas residents and families for years to come.”

Through Nov. 20, customers who text “DALLAS” to 777-688 will receive 20 percent off their purchases when they scan their account barcodes at checkout. Through the app, shoppers can view the Sprouts’ weekly ad and save more than $100 with digital coupons on grocery staples and new items.

As part of the grand opening celebration, the Sprouts Healthy Communities Foundation is awarding $80,000 to Out Teach, a local nonprofit that builds outdoor learning spaces at elementary schools. The funding will be used to build a new school garden at Solar Preparatory School for Boys, an elementary school in the Dallas Independent School District.

On Nov. 12, more than 200 volunteers from Sprouts and Young Men’s Service League will donate their time to build the school garden. Since 2015, the Sprouts Healthy Communities Foundation has donated $1 million to Out Teach and have built 15 learning gardens with the nonprofit in Dallas.

The Dallas community can look forward to seeing locally produced products line the shelves, including fresh fruits and vegetables from Chip Berry Produce, South Tex Organics and True Harvest Farms.

Additionally, through Sprouts’ Food Rescue program, the store will donate groceries that are no longer fit for sale but remain edible to North Texas Food Bank.
