Mannix Family Supermarkets, a family-owned and -operated Staten Island, New York-based company, recently celebrated the grand reopening of the ShopRite of Forest and Richmond.
A ribbon cutting ceremony and celebration June 11 featured store samplings and performances by jugglers and a local high school marching band.
The company shared in a statement on LinkedIn that the store at 985 Richmond Ave. on Staten Island will “offer customers several new services and expanded product selections, including a full-service deli and sushi station and additional bulk and club pack offerings.”
It also features updated produce and prepared foods departments, refreshed grocery aisles with upgraded shelves and endcaps, polished concrete floors, high ceilings and LED lighting. The store also has expanded traditional and self-checkout lanes.
“We are excited about the changes at the ShopRite of Forest & Richmond, and we thank our customers and associates for their patience during the renovation process,” Kevin Mannix, owner and operator, said in a statement.
“The extensive renovation has transformed our store, making it a more beautiful, convenient and pleasant destination to shop. We think the new and expanded departments will enhance our customers’ shopping experience and the value equation.”
The new-look store also features Fresh to Table, an innovative store-within-a-store where customers can find fresh, on-trend foods, easy to prepare ingredients and meal solutions in a variety of grab-and-go formats.
Fresh to Table also incorporates digital components such as ShopRite Express to pre-order meals online.
