New Seasons Market Opening Oct. 18 In Vancouver, WA

New Seasons Market will hold a grand opening Oct. 18 for a store that will serve as one of the primary full-service grocers amid a community of local businesses in Vancouver, Washington.

“Our team has worked tirelessly to create a one-of-a-kind shopping experience that embodies our commitment to local, quality and sustainability,” said Michael Butterfield, manager of the store at 1506 Main St. and a 12-plus-year employee of New Seasons.

“We look forward to welcoming our Vancouver neighbors, and serving as a trusted resource where everyone can find the freshest, most delicious local products.”

The store is New Seasons Markets’ second in Vancouver, joining Fisher’s Landing, which opened in 2011. The new store occupies 24,000 square feet, employs about 100 people and provides a range of products and offerings, such as a prepared foods department, with artisan pizza, fresh sushi and a self-serve hot bar.

“For decades, the No. 1 request from residents and workers in downtown Vancouver has been to bring in a grocery store. The opening of New Seasons Market in downtown is the answer at long last to that request,” said John McDonagh, president and CEO of the Greater Vancouver Chamber.

“New Seasons Market has already demonstrated what a great partner they will be in the neighborhood by meeting with various organizations, as well as residents, in planning their offerings. We, along with many others downtown, are glad to have them providing such long sought-after products and services.”

New Seasons Market is a strong supporter of the regional food economy and maintains long-term, direct partnerships with local farmers, ranchers and producers. The new store will feature artwork from artist Racheal Jackson and will work with Clark County Food Bank to fight hunger.

Its Bag It Forward recipients include: The Cowlitz Indian Tribe Community Wellness Garden, Pollution Prevention Resource Center and FISH of Vancouver.

“Our partnership with New Seasons Market through the grocery store recovery donation program, Fresh Alliance, has given us a significant source of healthy foods for distribution to people in our community experiencing hunger,” said Alan Hamilton, president of Clark County Food Bank.

In addition to the Vancouver location, New Seasons is set to open a store at the Milwaukie Marketplace next spring, followed by Tanasbourne Town Center in 2025.

CEO Nancy Lebold, The Shelby Report of the West’s 2023 Women Executive of the Year, described the Vancouver location as “a significant milestone” for the company as its 20th store and “a testament to our wonderful staff and customers for their continued support and loyalty.”

“We look forward to becoming an integral part of the vibrant downtown Vancouver neighborhood and continuing to grow our footprint as we deliver exceptional experiences to our valued customers,” she said.
