Tops Friendly Markets held a grand reopening Dec. 12 of its store at 65 Grey St. in East Aurora, New York.
This renovation, totaling almost $2 million in enhancements, marks the 40th location updated with a new look and a renewed focus on fresh departments over the past several years.
This store offers new, enhanced services, an expanded assortment of products and an enlarged fresh perimeter with new updated décor, as well as: new exterior paint with refreshed awnings, landscaping, energy efficient equipment and LED lighting inside and out, solar powered efficiencies, in-store Starbucks Café, expanded self-check outs, renovated restrooms and updated interior décor.
“This considerable investment will offer customers an excellent shopping experience starting with our friendly and knowledgeable associates, expanded amenities and large selection of high quality local, national and own brands. We’re excited to officially re-open this location signifying our continued commitment to the community,” said Ron Ferri, president.
Customers that attended the grand reopening celebration had the chance to win prizes, such as a $1,000 Tops Gift Card, a family four pack to see a Sabres game or a “Tops Loves Local Visit East Aurora Prize Pack” with gift cards to Vidler’s 5&10, BarBill Tavern, The Roycroft Inn and 42 North Brewery Gift Card.
Tops is also offering the Flashfood program, an app-based marketplace that eliminates food waste by connecting consumers with discounted food nearing its best-by date. Shoppers can buy items from Tops through the Flashfood app and pick them up in-store while reducing food waste.
“At Tops, we constantly evaluate the best ways to serve our customers and reinvest into our communities. These latest enhancements will help make life a little easier for shoppers by focusing on a strong combination of convenience, selection, quality and low prices,” said Mark Dudziak, Tops district manager.
