Skippy, one of America’s favorite peanut butter brands for nearly 80 years, joined Sony Pictures Home Entertainment to spin a web of excitement for the nationwide release on Nov. 9 of “The Amazing Spider-Man” on Blu-ray Combo Pack and DVD with UltraViolet.
Two million jars of peanut butter with a limited edition Amazing Spider-Man label are hitting shelves in more than 25,000 participating retail locations nationwide. Each limited edition jar includes a $4 savings coupon on “The Amazing Spider-Man” Blu-ray Combo Pack with the purchase of specially-marked Skippy.
“Skippy understands the importance of family time and that’s why we’re excited to help bring ‘The Amazing Spider Man’ into homes across America,” said Mike Dwyer, marketing director for Skippy. “From breakfast to dinner and all the snacks in between, Skippy is proud to be a part of shared family moments.”
“The Amazing Spider-Man” premiered in movie theatres across the country in July, and was released on Blu-ray Combo Pack and DVD on Nov. 9. It reveals the untold story of one of the world’s most popular characters. Starring Andrew Garfield, Emma Stone and Rhys Ilfans, the film chronicles the development of the super hero as a high school student.
