Consumer Group Joins Organic & Natural Health Association, And More…

The Organic Consumers Association (OCA) has joined the Organic & Natural Health Association (ONHA). “The Organic & Natural Health Association fills a void in today’s market for a trade group that is dedicated to serving the needs of suppliers, retailers and consumers who seek truthful, unbiased and credible information, based on the latest health- and nutrition-based science and research, about organic and natural products,” said Ronnie Cummins, OCA’s international director. BJ’s Wholesale Club is voluntarily issuing a recall of Citterio Mortadella and some deli meats sold from Jan. 20-Feb. 3 due to a possible exposure to a tree nut allergen (pistachio). Some deli meats, sold in individual service bags that may have come in contact with the same equipment as the Citterio Mortadella, also are being recalled. The recalled deli meats were sold at BJ’s locations in Delaware, Maryland, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, Pennsylvania and Virginia.
