The Massachusetts Restaurant Association has announced the winners of its annual awards, to be presented at 5:30 p.m. Monday, March 14, at the New England Food Show at the Boston Convention & Exhibition Center. The Martignetti Cos. will be recognized as the Business Partner of the Year; attorney Al Denapoli, Business Partner Associate of the Year; Jamie Bissonette, Executive Chef of the Year; Joanne Change, Limited Service Restaurateur of the Year; and Garrett Harker, Restaurateur of the Year…

A couple of days before Sunday’s Big Game, USDA Agriculture Secretary Tom Vilsack, NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell and Paul Rovey, dairy farmer and leader of the National Dairy Council, announced the availability of $35 million in grants to help schools upgrade their kitchen equipment and infrastructure in order to offer students better access to nutritious foods. Schools can apply for USDA funding through their state or for funds from Fuel Up directly through the organization’s website. Winery Sarah’s Vineyard has partnered with wholesaler Northeast Wine of Teaneck, New Jersey. Initially, Northeast Wine will release Sarah’s Vineyard’s Santa Cruz Mountains Chardonnay and Central Coast Pinot Noir to its retail and restaurant accounts.
