Livermore, Calif.-based flipflop wines has extended its wine line with six new varietals. The varietals, which include Malbec, Sauvignon Blanc, Sweet Red, Bubbly Chardonnay, Bubbly Moscato and Bubbly Pinot Grigio, will be available in stores starting this month. In addition, flipflop will launch several of its existing varietals in the 1.5-liter size in several states across the country.

flipflop logo“We observed there was a need for every day wines and bubbly that are expressive and well balanced, but also moderately priced and can be enjoyed at any occasion,” said Todd Ziegenfus, senior marketing director of flipflop wines. “We like to say we create seriously good wines, but that we don’t take ourselves too seriously in the process—flipflop’s new varietals embody this philosophy perfectly.”

Because of their successful launch earlier this year, flipflop’s Moscato, Pinot Grigio, Chardonnay, Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot varietals will launch in the 1.5-liter size in several states across the nation, including Connecticut, Massachusetts, Maryland, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island and Tennessee, according to the company.

flipflop is part of Underdog Wine & Spirits—a unit of The Wine Group. flipflop wines have less than a $10 SRP for a 750ml bottle.

The five new varietals will join Cabernet Sauvignon, Chardonnay, Merlot, Moscato, Pinot Grigio, Pinot Noir and Riesling to enhance the flipflop collection, the company says.
