Aladdin, a brand of Pacific Market International (PMI), introduces the newest addition to its Adult Lunch collection: the Insulated To-Go Food Containers. Available in two sizes, both are reusable versions of iconic to-go deli containers. But the resemblance stops there—the Aladdin version is reusable and designed to easily transport hot or cold meals from home to work and back again.
Workplace trends show an uptick in bringing lunch from home. From fresh salads and sandwiches to steamed veggies, people are looking for healthier, more nourishing meal options, leading to an increased demand for smart containers. Aladdin designed its To-Go containers with input on how busy women take lunch—usually fast and often on the move.
“We saw a clear need for Adult Lunch containers that meet the needs of people on the go,” said Colleen Kennedy, Aladdin product manager at PMI. “Our adult lunch collection offers an array of solutions that are user friendly and resonate with the current economic climate. As lunch habits have changed, more people are cooking at home, and food economy increases when a home-cooked meal can be taken for lunch the next day.”
The containers come in bright, on-trend colors and are designed to fit comfortably in the hand, revamping any lunch for a gourmet take-out experience. The 24-oz. Insulated To-Go Food container features an internal divider for self-serving an epicurean meal or simply separating a crisp side of veggies from grilled chicken. A see-through lid on both sizes makes meals easily identifiable for quick grab and go, while dishwasher safe and leak proof components offer easy cleaning and hassle-free portability between the home fridge and the office kitchen.
Known for creating beloved childhood lunchboxes, the Insulated To-Go Food Containers are the next chapter for Aladdin in the emerging Adult Lunch category, a market space the company says it began pioneering in 2011 with its innovative Collapsible Lunch Collection. Until recently, retail shelves offered food storage containers designed for home use but, when taken to-go, leaky lids, awkward transport and unsightly stains were common consumer frustrations. As container needs have changed from storage at home to sustainably taking food to-go, Aladdin has replaced those frustrations with a makeover: simple, stylized, user-friendly and reusable containers that help busy people love lunch again.
Aladdin’s Insulated To-Go Containers will be available in both 12-oz. and 24-oz. sizes in spring of 2012 in stores nationwide.
