New Functional Brews Set To Roll Out For Bean & Body Coffee

Good just got better with the introduction of three new flavors from Bean & Body Coffee, an ultra-premium RTD functional coffee blend. The flavors joining the current line-up are Vegan, Horchata and Coconut.

“We are really excited about the new flavors and what they will bring to the category,” said Erin Kelly, VP of marketing for BYB Brands. “It was important for us to extend our current functional coffee line by offering both a decaffeinated and non-dairy option to drive new consumers into the market and grow the overall category.”

Bean & Body Coffee is packed with powerful antioxidants (ORAC certified) to boost the immune system and protect from free radicals. The brews are crafted with superfoods, teas and herbs that provide natural energy, which turns a daily ritual into a healthy habit.

What to expect from the new flavors?

• Vegan, a delectable non-dairy alternative filled with antioxidants to soothe and reenergize.

• Horchata, a decaffeinated blend of antioxidants and cinnamon that provide a natural energy boost.

• Coconut, a refreshing, hydrating brew blended with maqui berry extract and coconut water to help you stay energized and hydrated.

Offered in an 8-oz. can, each flavor is 100 calories or less and all seven flavors are all-natural, gluten free and Kosher certified. With two times the antioxidant level of green tea, Bean & Body Coffee is “Healthy. Conscious. Coffee.”

Bean & Body Coffee uses Fair Trade Certified beans that are organic and shade grown directly from Peru. Buying Fair Trade Certified beans ensures farmers are paid a fair working wage for their crops allowing them to reinvest in their farms and communities to provide better resources for healthcare and education, protect the environment, and develop the business skills necessary to compete in the global marketplace.

Perfectly crafted with all-natural ingredients Bean & Body Coffee beans are grown using organic farming methods and materials that have a lower impact on the environment and make them safer to consume. In addition, the beans are grown under a canopy of diverse species of shade trees and intentionally cultivated under-story to help protect biodiversity, prevent further deforestation and soil erosion, and help provide food and shelter to songbirds and many other species of animals. Each 8-oz. can saves 2.5 s.f. of rainforest.

“Since the beginning, we have been passionate about providing a beverage that is healthy for consumers as well as conscious of the planet,” said Kelly.

The new Bean & Coffee flavors will be available in early May throughout the Southwest, Midwest and West Coast with expansion plans to the East Coast early this year. They will be sold in natural food channels, food stores and specialty retail outlets.

Bean & Body Coffee Horchata, Coconut and Vegan are the latest new products rolled out by BYB Brands, a wholly owned subsidiary of Coca-Cola Bottling Co. Consolidated. The Charlotte, N.C.-based company’s other beverages include Tum-E Yummies Fruit Flavored Drinks, Country Breeze Tea and Fuel in a Bottle Power Shots.
