Publix Tests Online Coupon Program

Last updated on August 28th, 2012 at 10:42 am

Publix is testing an online coupon program as a convenient alternative to the paper variety.

The Tampa Bay Business Journal reports that the pilot program began a few weeks ago at 10 stores in Ocala, Fla., and 29 stores in Alabama. Shoppers sign up and log on to the service where they have access to about 60 coupons. Customers use their phone number to access the coupon database and do not have to print or cut out the coupons.

The Lakeland, Fla.-based company said it’s received positive reviews of the project so far, the Journal reports.
