Van’s Natural Foods is bringing a new line of gluten-free cereals, crackers and snack bars rich in whole grains, including millet, quinoa and amaranth, to grocery stores.
The Gluten-Free Certification Organization certifies all of Van’s cereals, crackers and snack bars gluten free. The breakfast items and snacks, like all Van’s products, have no artificial sweeteners, colors, flavors or preservatives.
Van’s whole grain cereals (MSRP $3.99), available in Honey Nut Crunch and Cinnamon Heaven, have a full serving of whole grains, 5g of fiber and contain no dairy, egg, corn, high fructose corn syrup, artificial ingredients, hydrogenated oils or GMO oils.
Van’s Whole Grain Crackers (MSRP $2.99) are baked with whole grains, including gluten-free oats, brown rice, millet, quinoa and amaranth. They are available in three flavors—Multigrain, Lots of Everything! and Say Cheese!—and have 16g of whole grains per serving with no artificial colors, flavors or preservatives.
Van’s Whole Grain Snack Bars (MSRP $4.49) in Chocolate Chip, Cranberry Almond and Peanut Butter Chocolate, are naturally gluten free and baked with nutrient-rich whole grains, offer 8-10g of whole grains and 4g of fiber per serving and are free of artificial ingredients and high fructose corn syrup.
Van’s rounds out its latest 2013 offerings with fiber- and whole-grain-rich Gluten Free Ancient Grains Waffles (MSRP $3.49) made from a mix of whole grains including brown rice, millet, teff, buckwheat, amaranth, sorghum and quinoa. They have 32g of whole grains and 6g of fiber per serving and are egg and dairy free.
The breakfast and snack items began appearing in grocery stores in January, with full distribution expected by summer.
