Grocery Outlet will open its 200th store Saturday in Sacramento Pocket, Calif.
“We are thrilled to add our 200th store to the list of successful, locally owned and operated Grocery Outlet stores,” said MacGregor Read, co-CEO at Grocery Outlet and grandson of founder Jim Read. “This is a major accomplishment for our team and, more importantly, supports our mission to help even more people save money on name brands they trust.”
Based in Berkeley, Grocery Outlet was founded in 1946 and says it continues to experience tremendous growth by consistently offering customers the opportunity to achieve considerable savings on brand names and quality items. The company recently was rated among the top 15 fastest growing retail chains for 2013 by the National Retail Federation’s Stores magazine.
