NGA Announces Expanded Show Floor And Pavilions For 2014 Show

The National Grocers Association (NGA) says the expo floor at the 2014 NGA Show in Las Vegas will be expanded. Based on the success of the 2013 show, which saw record attendance and a sold-out exhibit hall, the 2014 NGA Show will have even more space allowing for expanded and new pavilions that showcase innovations and products specifically targeted to grocers. With nearly 80 percent of the exhibit hall sold out, floor sales already have exceeded last year’s total.

The NGA expo floor will be 44 percent larger than in 2013, and will include pavilions in areas such as produce, meat, health, beauty, wellness and general merchandise products as well as technology.

Confirmed pavilion partners:

• Returning for its third year, the Produce Marketing Association (PMA) Produce Pavilion has once again increased its real estate on the expo floor and will bring 3,600 s.f. of fresh produce suppliers directly to retailers at the 2014 NGA Show.

• Thanks to the success of the North American Meat Association (NAMA) 2013 Meatxpo, which was held in conjunction with the 2013 NGA Show, NAMA has decided to host the first-ever Meat Pavilion at the 2014 show. The pavilion will feature more than 2,400 s.f. of meat supplier companies and products.

• For the first time, the Global Market Development Center (GMDC) will bring a 3,000-s.f. pavilion of general merchandise, health, wellness and beauty care products to the 2014 NGA Show.

• NGA’s technology partners, the Center for Advancing Retail Technology (CART) and Personiphi, is returning with a 3,200-s.f. pavilion and will showcase even more technological innovations and solutions from a variety of companies designed to streamline retail workflow and efficiency.

The expo floor is just part of the NGA Show experience, which also features more than 30 educational sessions and special events.

The show will be held at the Mirage Hotel & Casino on Feb. 9-12.
