DeLallo has introduced five salad topping combinations conveniently packaged for the produce department’s refrigerated section. SaladSavors include a featured specialty cheese with a combination of complementary flavors. The product is portioned to accompany one bag of lettuce.
“Great food is one of the simplest pleasures of every day, but it’s hard to find time,” says Giuliana Pozzuto, director of marketing at DeLallo. “So many of us settle for convenient, boring food options. SaladSavors brings new and exciting flavors to the table, made to enjoy anywhere, anytime. I don’t know about you, but I’m ready to give my lunchtime salads some color.”
DeLallo SaladSavors are available in five varieties: Zesty, Bold, Sharp, Vibrant and Fresh.
• Zesty: Feta cheese, Calamata olives and sweet red peppers.
• Bold: Gorgonzola, dried pears and almonds.
• Sharp: Asiago, marinated artichokes and sun-dried tomatoes.
• Vibrant: Blue cheese, dried cherries and pecans.
• Fresh: Goat cheese, dried cranberries and walnuts.
With a history of offering authentic gourmet goods, such as the savory, marinated bites at the olive and antipasti bar, DeLallo says it created SaladSavors as another step toward making fresh Mediterranean flavors easy to enjoy.
“I think I can speak for everyone when I say our appetite for delicious, wholesome foods never changed, our lives just got busier,” said Pozzuto.
