Natural Grocers by Vitamin Cottage will hold a grand opening ceremony at its newest Texas location in the new Town Square Shopping Center at 3910 Lawrence Rd. in Wichita Falls on Thursday.
“We invite the Wichita Falls community to come in see what we’re about,” said Kemper Isely, Natural Grocers co-president. “While they are here, shoppers can also pick up some practical ideas for healthy eating during one of our free cooking demonstrations or take part in a free nutritional education seminar.”
Wichita Falls Natural Grocers will offer its first free cooking class in the store’s demonstration kitchen at 6 p.m. Thursday. Nationally recognized nutrition expert Cary Tamburro will show how to make “Smoothies to Jump Start Your Health.” She will demonstrate organic, gluten-free and dairy-free options. On opening day, there will be various cooking demos, including ideas for Paleo wraps.
Natural Grocers offers only carefully approved natural and organic groceries on its shelves, and only sells USDA certified organic produce. Meats are sourced from animals raised naturally without the use of antibiotics or hormones. The grocery chain also offers an extensive natural dietary supplement and body care department. Stores offer a large selection of gluten-free and other products for special diets. Local products are emphasized.
